The Founder Effect - Part Five
A mixed-media figurative experiment.
A mad king's worst fear of an uprising in retaliation for the death of young Abraham would soon become truth. But before it would, he'd give the flock a single opportunity to rewrite their story.
Choose one man and be wise. For this is the only gift you'll receive from me. Defeat me with this sword and the world will again belong to you. But I promise you will lose. And when you do, your allegiance and your lives belong to me. Forever.
Too terrified to look him in the eyes or accept his challenge, they turned their heads toward their feet. Already claiming victory, the king's voice labeled each a gutless coward.
And then Abraham's father raised his trembling hand. His shivering voice said only one word.
"Me."
