Giants Among Men - Part Three
A mixed-media figurative experiment.
Two days passed and with a heart blackened by regret and filled with shame, I had returned alone to set our captive free. I found the giant still and quiet as night, his warm flesh turned to solid rock. The once fiery earth beneath him, scorched by burning oil and the wrath of man, now lush with beautiful blooms and colors I’d not yet put my eyes upon. My diminutive body folded among these, I could only weep at the sight. And if we are wrong, oh father, dearest mother, how could we ever be forgiven?
